Women’s Enjoyment of Rights, Empowerment and Leadership (WE’RE Leaders)

WE’RE Leaders was a four-year initiative (2019-2023) funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The project’s goal was to enhance women’s political participation in Pakistan, with a particular focus on young and marginalized women. WE’RE Leaders adopted a multi-pronged approach to achieve this. On the supply side, our interventions aimed to create a gender-positive environment through governmental and institutional support, reinforced by gender-sensitive laws and regulations. On the demand side, we focused on building the capacity of women at the grassroots level to foster a societal shift encouraging women to take a more active role in public life.
