TDEA implemented a three-year Enhancing Women Workers’ Access to Market (EWAM) with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Pakistan. The project was the continuation of a similar initiative that was completed in December 2018. The project contributed to improving working environment for women workers in formal sectors of Pakistan. It helped address a core set of issues that continue to obstruct and impede women’s economic participation primarily by enhancing the individual and organizational capacities of women workers such as their ability to negotiate and advocate their collective priorities and demands with employers, policymakers, and legislators. The project was implemented in 14 industrial districts and 10 special industrial and economic zones in Pakistan.
