Among Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability’s (TDEA) significant contributions to democracy in Pakistan is serving as secretariat for the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), Pakistan’s most successful network of civil society groups engaged in electoral and parliamentary oversight. With TDEA’s technical and capacity-building support, FAFEN has gained both national and international recognition as a uniquely positive civil society contributor in the electoral reform process in Pakistan. FAFEN’s efforts have contributed to greater transparency and accountability in election administration.
