The Community Leadership Development Program (CLDP) was a 14-month program funded by Trócaire—the development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. TDEA implemented the project in eight districts—Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, and Swat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Hyderabad, Jamshoro, and Matiari in Sindh. The program focused on gender-based violence (GBV) and capacitated and engaged elected local government representatives and other community leaders to play a proactive role in addressing GBV.
The project trained 522 local body representatives with the help of five civil society organizations.
