Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) is soliciting applications for its Talent Pool / Pipeline. Position: Grants Professional – Mid Level

Salary Range: PKR 50,000-100,000
Expected Date of Joining: As soon as possible
Duration of Contract: Till the end of the project
His/her primary responsibility will be to support the implementation of the process of Grants making, subsequent payments, financial reporting, and closeout in accordance with the project Grant flow delineated in the Grants Manual.
Grants/Partnership Officer under the supervision of senior grants officer and in close coordination with respective Program officers:
Ensure compliance of partnership agreements/Implementing partners and donor policies with all TDEA IPs.
Maintains a detailed record of Partnership agreements issued
Ensures disbursements to partners according to payment/ delivery schedules
Review of partner’s financial reports to ensure that requisite endorsements and documented approvals are available for payment, inventory with partner organizations and support management with provision of technical assistance to partner organizations in the areas of finance, HR & Procurement as and when required and close out in accordance with the Partnership agreements and TDEA compendium of Policies & Procedures.
Donor Grants/Sub-Grants/ Contracts Management:
To support processing of all grants in accordance with the Grants Manual and ensure compliance with the Grants Manual, UNDP regulations and TDEA Policies.
To prepare contracts/letter of grants (LOG) between the Grantees and TDEA for review by Grants Manager including budgets duly reviewed for reasonableness.
To disburse funds to Implementing Partners according to payment/delivery schedule of LOG.
Review of partners financial reports to ensure the requisite endorsement and documented approvals are available for payment.
To support management with provision of technical assistance to a partner organization in the areas of finance, HR & Procurement.
To maintain proper auditable documentation with adequate detail about the processed grants.
To conduct pre-award assessments (if required) of grantees and document assessment reports in a standard format.
To assist Senior Grants Officer and program staff in reviewing Letters of Agreement, Letter of Amendments, Contracts, Letters of Advice, grant-related payment requests: review disbursement grantee budget adjustment, grant refund and compliance.
To assume the responsibilities of other grants staff duties in their absence (leave) as assigned by the supervisor.
Assist in conducting GMC (Grant Management Committee) meeting.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
Preferably Master’s degree in Finance from HEC recognized university, ACCA qualified with four years of relevant experience; or CA Finalist / Inter trained from a reputable CA firm
Familiarity with donor’s (UNDP) financial management rules and regulations with respect to contracts will be an advantage;
Excellent IT and Communication skills;
Detailed orientation, good time management skills and resourcefulness;
Fluency in English and Urdu required;

It is a full-time job and the position is located at Islamabad. It, however, involves contingent traveling along the lines of accomplishment of the aforementioned responsibilities. The job shall likewise involve late sittings and working on weekends/holidays where required by the circumstances.
