Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) is soliciting applications for its Talent Pool / Pipeline. Location:                                            Islamabad, with the possibility of traveling         


Job Objective

His /her primary responsibilities to provide the support function to Manager Finance and Accounts for the financial and operational management of project.

Job Responsibilities:

Finance Professional – Mid Level will assist the Senior Manager Finance and Accounts for day to day transactions, reconciliations, book-keeping, and management reporting, etc


Job Responsibility 1: Strengthened financial controls


  • Preparation of vouchers (JVs, BPVs, CPVs) for UNDP project expenses on daily basis.
  • Responsible for daily transactions and bookkeeping.
  •  Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Management of project funds in accordance with donor policies and guidelines.
  • Coordination with the administration for project bills and invoices.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors
  • Ensure timely payments to implementing partners
  • To generate meaningful reports for analysis for management on a regular basis, and also support Senior Manager Finance and Accounts to ensure these are in line with their compliance criteria.
  • To support compliance with mandatory requirements of the Government of Pakistan and donor regulations, as applicable,
  • To maintain proper auditable documentation for ensuring compliance with the required policies,


Job Responsibility 2: Regulatory Filings


  • Deposit taxes regularly being deducted on staff salaries, payments for goods and services in accordance with income tax laws.
  • Deposit GST being withheld on the purchase of goods in accordance with sales tax laws in a timely manner.
  • Ensured timely regulatory submissions i.e. tax, EOBI and other charges being levied by the government.


Job Responsibility 3: Audit Facilitation/ Project Closeout


  • To facilitate External Audits, Internal Audits, and Donor Audits.
  • Provided documentation required by auditors in a timely manner and resolved their queries for audit facilitation
  • Liaise with other projects, head office, and employee benefit fund managers regarding closeout to ensure that all payables and receivables have been recorded effectively
  • Ensure proper Project Closeout and final settlements of Implementing Partners on a timely basis.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • Preferably Master’s degree in Finance from HEC recognized university, ACCA qualified with four years of relevant experience; or CA Finalist / Inter trained from a reputable CA firm
  • Familiarity with donor’s (UNDP) financial management rules and regulations with respect to contracts will be an advantage;
  • Excellent IT and Communication skills;
  • Detailed orientation, good time management skills and resourcefulness;
  • Fluency in English and Urdu required;

Working Conditions:

It is a full-time job and the position is located at Islamabad. It, however, involves contingent traveling along the lines of accomplishment of the aforementioned responsibilities. The job shall likewise involve late sittings and working on weekends/holidays where required by the circumstances.
