Job Purpose

His/her primary responsibility will be to support the implementation of the process of Grant making, financial reviews and monitoring, and subsequent payments, financial reporting and close out in accordance with the project Grants flow delineated in the Grants Manual.

Job Responsibilities:

Grants/Sub-Grants/ Contracts Management:

  • To support processing of all grants in accordance with the Grants Manual and ensure compliance with the Grants Manual, Donor regulations and TDEA Policies.
  • To prepare grant agreements between the Grantees and TDEA for review of Grants Management Lead including budget reviews and negotiations.
  • Review of partner’s financial reports and supporting documentation to ensure the requisite endorsement and documented approvals are available for payment.
  • To disburse funds to grantees according to payment/delivery schedule of grant agreement.
  • To support management with provision of technical assistance to grantees in the areas of finance, HR & Procurement. 
  • To maintain proper auditable documentation with adequate detail about the processed grants.
  • To conduct pre-award assessments (if required) of organizations and document assessment reports in a standard format.
  • To assist Grants Management Lead and program staff in preparing BvAs, Modification letters and close out of grants.
  • To assume responsibilities of other grants staff duties in their absence (leave) as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist in conducting GMC (Grant Management Committee) meeting.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • Preferably Master’s degree in Finance (HEC recognized university) with One years of relevant experience or ACCA qualified with three years of relevant experience; or CA Finalist / CA Inter article ship completed from QCR firm.
  • Familiarity with donor’s financial management rules and regulations with respect to contracts will be an advantage;
  • Excellent IT and Communication skills;
  • Detailed orientation, good time management skills and resourcefulness;
  • Fluency in English and Urdu required;
